Morris Air Pilot Wing 1st Issue

Salt Lake City, UT 1992-1994

The airline began charter operations as Morris Air Service in 1984. It was founded by June Morris and David Neeleman who also co-founded WestJet. Charter flights were operated by Ryan International Airlines during 1992. Morris obtained its own FAR 121 operating certificate in December 1992 and then began operating as its own carrier. The airline was bought by Southwest Airlines in 1993. By April, 1994 Southwest began to replace Morris at several cities. Morris Air disappeared on October 4, 1994 when the integration with Southwest was complete.
